DEPICTING CULTURE ON THE GO


This scooter has become the brand ambassador for the culture of Dakshina Kannada.  A 1995 model Bajaj Chetak of Vikram Nayak of Kodikal which has been painted with arts depicting culture of Dakshina Kannada is cynosure of Mangalureans. His artist friends Pranesh Kudroli  and Jeevan Salian took 20 days to paint the scooter in Madhubani Folk Art style. On front its painted with Badagu and Thenku thittu yakshagana pictures. Kambala, Tiger dance, Cock fight, Car Festival and Bhutha Kola are the other arts painted. Vikram has spent nearly Rs. 40K for this. Duckling

Vadivelu from Dharmavaram, Tamilnadu seen taking ducklings on road near Bendore in Mangaluru. Vadivelu sells a duckling for Rs. 50. He said he sells an average of 50 duckling per day.
